The Healthy Feet Store is a retail store that sells shoes and other foot-related products. They were looking to improve their website in order to increase online sales.
This is important part of this project We need to migrate Orders, Products, Customers, Coupon code, Product Reviews, Reward Program, Back in stock data.
The most significant hurdle we encountered was preserving data integrity when migrating from BigCommerce to Shopify, particularly in managing custom Metafields values to integrate BigCommerce custom field data fot Product Filter, Shoe Finder and search result page.
The challenge entails the successful implementation of a dynamic width and size chart popup on product pages, posing difficulties in achieving the desired visual presentation and functionality.
The challenge involves seamlessly integrating the “Notify Me When Available” and “Add to Cart” button functionality from an external app into the product pages, presenting a hurdle in ensuring a smooth and cohesive user experience.
Shopify will providing first options must be selected By default due to that there may be a chance wrong products added to cart without showing any validation message.
Coordinating among migration, development, app, and QA teams, presenting dual challenges in maintaining effective communication and ensuring a synchronised project flow.
The challenge involves establishing an efficient system for sending activation links to customers and overcoming communication hurdles for a smooth post-migration account activation process in Shopify.
Using the BigCommerce and Shopify API we have get data from the BigCommerce and migrated Orders, Products(With all data like Variants with swatches, Custom fields, UPC,Stock), Customers, Coupon code to Shopify.
For “Product Reviews” we have exported the Product Reviews data from their custom application and crated CSV file as per the required fields also mapped products and imported in Judge.me app.
For “Reward Program” we have exported the Reward points of the customers from their custom application and crated CSV file as per the required fields and imported in Smile.io app.
For “Back in stock” we have exported the Back in stock request from BigCommerce application and crated CSV file as per the required fields also mapped products and variants and imported in Shopify app.
To address this challenge, we devised a node script that extracts data from the migrated field and updates the corresponding Shopify field with appropriate types and content, ensuring a seamless transition.
Addressing this challenge involves meticulous coding and design integration to ensure the seamless implementation of the popup chart based on the Gender and Age Gropu data of the product. By focusing on user-friendly design principles and responsive functionality, our solution aims to guarantee the successful incorporation of the chart without disrupting the overall user experience. This approach ensures that the popup chart enhances the user interface, providing valuable information without compromising the ease of navigation or visual appeal.
To overcome this challenge, close coordination between app support teams is crucial. By fostering effective communication and collaboration with them, we aim to ensure a seamless implementation of the “Notify Me When Available” button functionality from the external app. This approach guarantees that the user experience remains consistent and uninterrupted, addressing the challenge and enhancing the overall functionality of the e-commerce platform.
We have implemented customization so there is not any options selected by default on page load so customer have to choose the required options also there is proper validation message if product added to cart without choosing the options.
Addressing these challenges necessitates the implementation of robust communication channels and collaborative project management tools. By fostering seamless communication and asynchronous workflow, the solution aims to enhance team coordination. This approach ensures that migration, development, app, and QA teams work cohesively, fostering a collaborative environment that optimises efficiency and contributes to the successful execution of the project.
To tackle the challenge, a streamlined customer activation app is integrated within the Shopify platform. This implementation optimises the activation link distribution process, ensuring efficiency and a smooth user experience. By prioritising effective user communication, the solution enhances the activation process, contributing to an overall positive and seamless customer journey on the Shopify platform.
The challenge lies in creating custom shoe finder tailored to the client’s specific requirements. This poses a difficulty in fetching specific custom metafield data on the homepage and filtering results dynamically based on the selections made in the Shoe Finder dropdown.
To overcome these challenges, we developed a custom Shoe Finder functionality using tailored code. This solution ensures displaying specific options on home page and accurate results are displayed on the Shoe Finder results page, providing a seamless user experience.
The most significant challenge faced in Shopify was effectively managing more than 100 variants for a product in the store, requiring a customized solution to ensure smooth operations.
To address this challenge, a bespoke custom code solution was successfully implemented. This solution focused on optimising the backend functionality to efficiently handle and display a large number of variants in storefront. The custom code not only effectively manages the extensive variant inventory but also enhances the overall user experience, ensuring customers can navigate and make selections seamlessly. This tailored approach reflects a successful resolution to the major challenge of handling a substantial number of variants within the Shopify platform.
Also we have integrated custom “Notify Me When Available” feature for these products as well.
